Days After Gang-Rape in Ambulance in Broad Daylight in Jaipur, Doctor Couple Shot Dead on the Road in Broad Daylight in Rajasthan

A doctor couple was shot dead on the road in broad daylight in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur on Friday. The dead have been identified as Sudip Gupta (46) and his wife Seema Gupta (44). The doctor couple were traveling in their car when bike-borne assailants waylaid them in the middle of the road. The assailants, Anuj Gurjar and Mahesh Gurjar, pulled out pistols and opened fire on the doctors who were in the car. The incident was captured in the CCTV. The police said it was a case of revenge killing. A pregnant lady was gangraped in an ambulance in Jaipur on Monday. Rajasthan is under Covid-19 lockdown till June 8. Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is also the Home Minister of the state. The police said the doctor couple were out on bail in the murder case of a woman who was allegedly in a relationship with the doctor. The assailants are the brother and cousin of the deceased woman. The state is under Covid-19 lockdown for over a month now.
